Random cuteness

Sleepyhead couldn't even finish his lunch!

Poor Tyler had a collision with Collins head. He's sporting his first official shiner. Didn't seem to bother him one bit.

Cookie monster!

Pops Retires!

After almost 40 years my dad has finally retired! We had 2 goodbye parties at work and a big bash here at the house. Collin was so excited to hear that Pops wouldn't have to go to work anymore!
The last time leaving work!

Picking up his "pay out" check

Going with dad to City Hall one last time to cash his check! No silver dollars for me though =*(

Escorting dad and his stash to the car.

Noni and the boys.

One last prank before leaving!

Dad and Mort, his old partner...one of my "uncles"!

It was a great party and a nice send off after 40 years!

Of course, when the sun goes down the real party starts!

It wouldn't be a party without Wyatt doing a keg stand!

Peyton graduated!

Peyton graduated from high school this June. He had his party at his grandpas house-a great spot for a party! The kids had a blast running around and playing and I got to get a couple of decent shots of them.

I can never get them all smiling and looking the same direction at once!!

I wish this would have been taken a few days later after haircut day! Oh well!!

Hudson, Hallie and Tyler running down the hill. It was a disaster waiting to happen but luckily they all escaped without a mark!

My little baseball player!

Peek a boo!

Whatchu talkin about Willis?

Family Fun

We went to Homestead Park to watch Brylie "cross over" from Daisy Scouts to Brownies.

Too bad the kids can't stand their Noni and Pops!

Such a big boy!

Catching a ride on daddy's shoulders.

Crazy Cousins at it again!

Collin the climber.

Just like his big brother. Tyler climbed the whole way up by himself. The kid is CRAZY and we love him that way!!

Red, White and Boom

Last minute we decided to head downtown to Red, White and Boom. I had a sinus infection and wasn't really in the holiday spirit but hey, we're on staycation, what else did we have to do? We hopped in the car and headed downtown for a junk food fest and fireworks. As you can see, daddy bought Collin the biggest Icee he could find and Collin managed to drink the entire thing! Can you guess what color? Okay, he did share a little with Tyler. They, namely number one instigator daddy, think it's funny to eat stuff that I say they can't have. Not funny when the fireworks start in 10 minutes and a 5 year old decides he has to poop-EMERGENCY style-and there's not a potty in sight. That was fun! And then when he's up all night because his tummy hurts, and his legs, and his arm...gggrrrrr!

We had a great view of the fireworks and luckily Tyler loved them! A good time was had by all!

Collins first parade!

It was a bit last minute but Collins t-ball organization rode in the Upper Arlington 4th of July Parade. We borrowed Uncle B's truck, loaded up some crazy kids and drove 2 miles an hour in 100 degree heat for an hour. Sounds like fun, huh?? Not really. I'm not sure we had even made it to the half way point before the "are we done yets" started-lol! Luckily none of the kids or parents dropped out from the heat. I rode in the AC and was still burning up!! At least we experienced it. Collin was the only kid that showed up from his team so I don't think he had a really fun time and he probably won't be begging to do it again next year, which is fine with me!!

Happy 4th of July!!

Yankees Melt Down and other TV related fun

Poor Collin was having a rough night last night. All he talked about was watching the baseball game. Unfortunately, he was also acting pretty rotten toward his brother and eventually I had to take "extreme measures". No, he didn't get a spanking, I turned off the Yankees v Red Sox baseball game. When I told him he couldn't watch the Reds it was another round of screaming that he would never know what happened and he didn't want to have to see it on the news-LOL!!

Speaking of TV, Collins' other favorite show is "Dance Moms".

Not the best viewing for a child but it could be much worse. The other night we went downtown for an event and heard some people speaking not so nicely to each other. Collin said "they aren't talking very nice to each other. They're talking like dance moms"! At least he's learning how NOT to act from cheesy reality TV!

Staycation

Well, it is back to work again for me tomorrow and Wyatt on Monday. We enjoyed a "not really planned" 10 day staycation! What did we do you ask? Well, let's see...not much!

We, meaning Wyatt,  installed 3 new, much needed ceiling fans and a new light fixture. We hung a few new things in Collins room. We decided to put a magnetic board in his room. The child is addicted to tape. Anything he can find he tapes to the walls. I bought him a bunch of miniature baseball helmets while I was in DC. I'm not even sure how many rolls of tape it took to put all those bad boys up on the walls. He hangs his pennants, he prints Mario pictures off the computer and tapes them up all over the house. When I bought new tires last week, Collin made mention of NASCAR and they just happened to have a NASCAR poster so they gave it to him. As soon as we got home he got out the scissors, his other addiction, and cut each driver out and taped them on his wall! We had to do something!!

So here is what we came up with...
We used 2 pieces of sheet metal and framed it in with some type if sheet metal edging. It actually came out really well and was much cheaper than buying a huge magnetic dry erase board. We were pretty impressed with ourselves-lol!

We went to the farmers market several times and found lots of yummy stuff!
Tyler loves blueberries and blackberries. He managed to go through a pint of each in one day without much help.

We played outside quite a bit, mostly in the water because it was close to 100 degrees everyday. We felt like we were back in the Marshall Islands again with the heat and humidity. You just step out the door and you start sweating!

The kids love the sprinkler and who wouldn't in this heat!!

We had cookouts and company and some time just to chill. But of course the time always flies when you are having fun!

Now, back to reality.BOO!!
